I have experienced healing from not being able to have children. What a miracle! One of the ways that I have been able to overcome is by attending a March for Life rally in Ottawa, Ontario, the city in which I live. It is God who knits us together in our mother’s womb, in accordance with Psalm 139:13, and each life is precious. We must also care for the aged and people with disabilities, too. The alien, refugee or foreigner must be treated equally well (Lev. 19:34). God loves all His people!
Another noteworthy aspect of the March for Life is the coming together of Christians along denominational lines: Catholic, evangelical and Orthodox. What a beautiful tapestry! Similarly, in the 1990’s, the March for Jesus became a worldwide success as it drew Christians together to lift high the name of Christ in our inner cities.
So, yes we must care for the needy and provide humanitarian relief to the poor. Jesus taught us to live that way. But equally important is to take a stand for the values that Jesus embraces—and He most assuredly is a God of life! Another practical way to experience healing is, if you don’t have children or are single, your fellow church members may share their young ones for some “baby time”—this allows us to be a family of Christ and share with others in their blessing.
